Our Wedding

This is where their paths first crossed! Lauren and Owen had mutual friends but were initially unaware of each other. In 7th grade, Lauren had a crush on Owen, though it wasnt love at first sight;) They shared conversations and attended a few friend gatherings in middle school, but did not begin dating until high school. 

Middle school 2013-2014

Just before freshman year, Lauren and Owen reconnected & nearly a year later, after their freshman year had ended, they went on their first date at Andover Cinema. On October 4th, 2015, Owen officially asked Lauren to be his girlfriend. With the help of Laurens best friend Bella, he set up a spot outside her house with ‘Will you be my girlfriend?’ written in chalk on the sidewalk and waited with pink roses. This marked the beginning of their relationship. Lauren and Owen attended every school dance together, including Morp all four years and prom for two years. They graduated high school together in 2018!

High School 2015-2018

Lauren attended her freshman year at the university of Wisconsin Eau Claire and Owen attended University of Minnesota Duluth. After that year, Lauren transferred to UMD for the last three years of undergrad. In college they loved visiting various breweries, hanging out with their college friends and roommates, and going back home to visit their families. They graduated in 2022, Owen with a degree in math and statistics and Lauren with a degree in communication sciences and disorders. Owen began his big boy job shortly after graduating and in the fall Lauren began her Master’s program at St. Cloud State University.

College 2018-2024

Lauren and Owen moved in together in Champlin in August 2024! Owen is still working at Securian Financial, since he graduated college, and has been at this job for over 2 years. Lauren is currently working as a pediatric speech-language pathologist at SunnyDays Therapy. They both absolutely love their jobs and are so excited to celebrate with everyone on their wedding day!!!

Holiday Inn Express St. Croix Valley

Hotel

A shuttle service will be provided from the venue back to the hotel during the reception. The first shuttle will depart from the venue at 9:00pm and go to the Holiday Inn Express St. Croix Valley . There will be another shuttle departing at 10:00pm, 11:30pm and 12:00am. Unfortunately there will not be a shuttle to the venue prior to the ceremony, however, you can leave your car at the venue until 8:00am on Sunday 9/14.
