Our story:

Hudson and Lauren met freshmen year at Mississippi State. Though they were friends, it only took four years for Lauren and Hudson to realize everything they were searching for in a partner was right in front of them. In April of 2020, Lauren went out on a limb and invited Hudson to her family’s house for Easter lunch and that was when it all started. At the end of the weekend, Hudson asked Lauren if she wanted to go on a date, not knowing she had been hiding feelings for him. With the city being closed due to covid restrictions, Hudson planned their first date by using a friend’s kitchen to cook a meal he had never made. He must have done a good job because she agreed to keep going out with him. It wasn’t long before Hudson and Lauren knew they had something special, and on May 23, they spilled the secret to their friends that they were officially dating! After spending the next year dating long distance while Hudson was working towards his master’s at Mississippi State, and Lauren working through her second year of dental school at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Hudson planned the perfect surprise for her birthday. He proposed to her the day before her birthday, February 27, 2021, and celebrated the start of the rest of their lives with family and friends. Now, Hudson and Lauren can’t wait to celebrate their marriage with all of you on March 12, 2022, and they couldn’t be more excited for the journey they will share together forever.&nbsp;

Our Story

We are so excited for March 12th and we cannot thank y'all enough for traveling all this way to be apart of our special day!There are two room options for the hotel wedding block. The first option is the Standard room ( two queen beds) for $105 and the other option is the Suite room (a king bed with a fold out) for $115

The Renaissance Shopping Center is located less than a mile from The Hampton Inn and has several good restaurants and clothing stores.

McClain Lodge would be such a fun activity to do Saturday morning/afternoon. It is a drive through safari and petting zoo. There is no better way to start off your Saturday than getting to feed a camel, zebra, water buffalo and so much more. Yes you read that right! McClain lodge also has a restaurant that over looks the safari park.

Highland village is another shopping center located about 10 minutes from the hotel. It is a new local hot spot that has several shops as well as some good restaurants such as Bravo, Beagle Bagel, Char, and Aplos.

Babalu is southern cuisine with a latin flair. They have great tacos as well as other entrees and the tableside guacamole is a MUST!

BABALU® - Jackson

This is by far the best greek restaurant in town and Lauren's favorite! They have your normal greek food such as lamb gyros but they also have great salads and grilled chicken gyros (Lauren's favorite). And you cannot forget to get the cottage fries and make sure to ask from them to be crispy. I promise you won't regret it!

Keifer's

Bulldog Burger originally started in Starkville, MS (HAIL STATE) and it did so well in Starkville that it opened up a chain here in Jackson. This is one of Hudson and I's favorite restaurant in Starkville. They have tons of burgers and if burgers are not your thing you can ask for grilled chicken instead ;)

Biaggi's Italian restaurant is about 5 minutes from the hotel. It has great Italian food and has something everyone would enjoy.

You can never go wrong with pizza from Soulshine! And an extra bonus is that it is less then a mile from the hotel.

Primos has a fantastic breakfast that is served all day as well as really good southern cookin' blue plates. It is a little less then 10 minutes from the hotel.
