The most magical day of our lives. It was filled with so much love, and so much happiness!! We eloped to the island of Nantucket, MA with our parents. Jake planned the ultimate surprise and flew my best friend here from California to be with me. We wish we could’ve had all our loved ones by our side, and it was a super difficult decision to make. At the end of the day, in this crazy insane world, we decided why wait! - you never know if you’re promised tomorrow. To have our parents there, happy and in good health, meant everything to us.
We’re so thankful for all of your kind words and well wishes for our marriage. We’re so excited and honored we get to take this journey together.
A little bit about the day… Since we planned this last minute, we really had to get creative! My mom altered my dress. I carried my wedding flowers onto two planes and made the bouquet a few hours before the ceremony. We lucked out and found an amazing photographer that just so happened to be available on the 12th at 3pm. Originally I thought I’d be okay with no photographer- uh… always hire the photographer. We chose to get married at our favorite lighthouse, the Sankaty Head Lighthouse. The lighthouse is one of the country’s oldest thats still in operation today. The bakery I used to go to as a kid, the Nantucket Bake Shop, was able to squeeze us into their busiest wedding weekend to make us a cake. And we ended the day with a beautiful sailboat cruise at sunset. It was a day that I never wanted to end. Sometimes it’s the spontaneous decisions that make for the best memories.. Thank you all for understanding and supporting our wishes to keep things intimate.
Let’s celebrate soon!
