Our Wedding

The BeginningOur story begins in 2017 when Rob sat in front of Lauren sat in their Pathopharmacology class at Northern Kentucky University. The two became friends, studying in groups, and working through clinicals trying to survive nursing school. They graduated in the fall of 2018, and after starting their "big kid" jobs in different nursing fields, decided to date a year later in 2019. Unfortunately this was not God's timing and the two split in 2020.The ReconnectAfter a few years, Lauren decided to get on a dating app (at the encouragement of some friends) and after setting up the profile, the first man that popped up was Rob. Not sure what to do, she decided to "like" him just to see what would happen. A few dates (and a few months) later Rob asked Lauren to be his girlfriend, and she said yes...again.Loon (and the family)'s ApprovalAfter that he met Lauren's dog, Luna, and for Luna it was love at first sight. So much so that even the mention of his name has her at the garage door waiting for him. Reintroduced to both families, it was like nothing had changed. Rob's family was extremely welcoming to Lauren and Lauren's family was just as inviting to Rob. In October of 2024, Rob asked Lauren's dad, Mike, for permission to marry Lauren while on a trip to Albuquerque, and he said "yes, but no take backs."The Proposal On November 9th, the two had a Christmas photo session with one of Rob's friends, Elizabeth, and Lauren had her suspicions that something was going to happen. Nothing happened during the photo session, so she let her guard down. After the photos, the two decided to take Luna hiking at the Cincinnati Nature Center. Lauren tried to take Rob on a long hike, but he redirected her to start the hike at her favorite spot, the Powel Crosley Lake. They were standing on the pier at the lake, when Luna lunged towards someone. Lauren turned and saw her two best friends, Christine and Erica, walking out of the woods. Not understanding what was happening, Lauren just stood and stared at them until Christine took Luna's leash and she turned to see Rob on one knee with a ring. He asked her to marry him, and she said yes!

Christine came into my life during high school where we became close friends. From summer pool parties to playing Just Dance in my parent's basement to training to run full marathons, she has been there for me during many ups and downs of my life and I am so grateful for her friendship! She is truly one of my ride or dies and I am so glad to have her by my side on my wedding day

I met Erica during nursing school where we became close friends after many study sessions. She is my friend that I call when I need fashion advice or need someone to check out new fancy restaurants with. We've done so much together like go to Jonas Brothers concerts, watch horse racing at Oaks Day, and freeze at Bengals games. She is also one of the main reasons that I started going back to church after a small hiatus and for that I am extremely grateful! I am so excited to have her stand by me on my special day!

Gretchen and I go all the way back to high school where we became close friends. We have gone on many adventures together like navigating Walmart on black friday to climbing mountains in Arizona. No matter where she has traveled in the world we have always found a way to be there for each other and I am thrilled to have her be a part of this special day!

Heather and I met in nursing school where we both bonded over being transfer students and the struggle of pathopharmacology. Between many study sessions and clinicals we became close friends. We have had many adventures including eating the best potpie baked in a buttery, flaky crust in Maine (iykyk). I can't wait to continue our adventures and I am so glad to have you by my side as I start my new adventure with Rob!

Hannah and I met at work where we bonded over our love for Disney and travel. She is another friend that I call for fashion advice and the reason I finally own a raincoat. She is always down for a last minute adventure and is the perfect instagram photographer! I am so grateful for our friendship and to have her with me as I marry Rob!

Courtney and I met when she started dating my brother, Logan. Since then, we have shared many adventures including cruising through Alaska, vacationing in Florida, and finding ways to incorporate our "friend" Tina in all of our pictures. I was thrilled to stand by her side as she became my sister-in-law, and I am even more thrilled to have her stand by mine as I marry Rob!

Jamie came into my life the first time Rob and I dated and has always been a big supporter of our relationship. I am so glad to be the favorite's favorite, and even more excited to have her as a future sister-in-law!

Stacey also came into my life when Rob and I first dated and welcomed me into the family with open arms! I am so glad to have her as a sister-in-law, and so excited to have her next to me as I join her family!

I met Cloie when she was about a month old, and it has been wonderful to see her grow up into such a fun and beautiful young lady! I am so excited to have her walk down the aisle as our flower girl!

Rick and I were first wombmates, then roommates, then housemates, and I know he'll always be my teammate. He enjoys the finer things in life such as a well made Old Fashioned, medium-rare steaks, sharp suits, and a well timed SpongeBob reference.

James and I met at NKU in an on-campus ministry, and we've been best buds ever since. He can throw together the funnest game night of your life, take you to your new favorite coffee shop, tell you some trivia about something your great-grandparents had, and tell you all about Duluth Trading's line of mens underwear.

I've known Jerd his whole life, and he still has a knack for making jokes that make you do the weird breathless laugh thing while you flail your arms around in front of you. He enjoys cooking steaks and smoking cigars on the front porch.

I met Logan the first time Lauren and I dated. He's always had a fun story to tell about the shenanigans he finds himself getting into. He married the love of his life, Courtney, in January and we are grateful to them both for being part of our own big day.

Collin and I met years ago the first time I dated Lauren. I've never known a guy more excited to see people, talk to them, and to break into spontaneous dance during family dinners. He has been living in Charlotte, NC for a time, and while we miss having him here we are delighted for him to join us in celebrating in August.

Big Rob is the rootinest, tootinest, and shootinest guy a fella could have the privilege of calling a brother. He's a sharpshooter extraordinaire, Maker's Mark connoisseur, and he and Jamie have raised two of the most fun and kind-hearted young men there ever were.

You would think he taught Ken Burns everything he knows about World War II history, and Bill Belichick everything he knows about football (as Colton's coach). He and Stacey are raising two of the most fun and goofiest kiddos you'll ever meet.
