Our story began in August 2022, thanks to Hunter’s cousin, who decided to play matchmaker—and absolutely nailed it. We first met up north at Hunter’s family cabin, surrounded by a group of friends for a fun weekend. We spent that time getting to know each other, laughing, and enjoying being together—and when the weekend ended, we stayed in touch.

The following week, Hunter asked Lauren on our first official date at Fox Harbor. From that point on, we spent almost every day together, making the most of our time before Lauren had to return to college. Before she left, we squeezed in one more special weekend at the cabin. On September 2, 2022, Hunter thoughtfully set up a dinner at the cabin and officially asked Lauren to be his girlfriend.

What followed were many frequent two-hour drives to Green Bay or Milwaukee, countless phone calls, and a lot of anticipation for weekends spent together. After Lauren graduated in 2024, we were thrilled to start building a life side by side. In August 2024, we bought a house and spent countless hours renovating and turning it into a home that truly felt like ours. In May 2025, our family grew when we welcomed our sweet golden retriever puppy, Harbor - a name that represents a reminder of safety, love, and one of the places that first brought us together.

On June 20, 2025, Hunter suggested a trip up to the cabin to visit his Dad—little did Lauren know the cabin had been thoughtfully set up for a proposal. After Hunter popped the big question, many of our closest friends joined us to celebrate at the place where so many of our firsts had begun.

We continue to grow together, learn from one another, and love each other more with every season. We are so excited for this next chapter as a married couple and are deeply grateful to celebrate it with the people who have supported us along the way.
