Our Wedding

Chris and Lauren met at one of Chris' famous lake parties on Labor Day weekend. Lauren was invited by a friend that was invited by one of Chris' best friends. She was not into Chris right away. A few weeks later, one of Lauren and Chris' mutual friends invited her up to the lake. Lauren thought it was going to be another party with lots of people, but it was just Chris and the 3 of them. By the end of this surprise double date, Lauren had warmed up to Chris and was interested in knowing him more. She attempted to reach out to Chris a few times to hang out, but he was always busy. Lauren decided to leave it in God's hands and sure enough, Chris asked her out to dinner a few days later. They went through lots of hardships right off the bat in their relationship. These tough times made it clear to both of them that they could last through anything, and would always be each others biggest supporters and confidants. They dated for 2 years, with intent of marriage clear early on. On April 8th, 2024, Chris proposed to Lauren during the solar eclipse at Letchworth state park. They hiked to find a quiet spot for just them, did some hammocking and reading (one of their favorite things), and then prepared for the eclipse. Chris was very nervous - fidgeting, asking the time, hugging Lauren a lot. Finally, when the sky was completely dark, he got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him. The future holds so much excitement. Mr. and Mrs. Myers coming 2025.

Kelci and I became friends at school when I moved into the classroom next to her. It was (teacher bestie) love at first sight.

Dani and I connected in gospel choir at college. It was arguably the best part of my week, and I'm thankful to have met one of my favorite people because of it.

Mike has known Chris for a long time and has been by his side through thick and thin. He never could teach Chris basketball or baseball, but his examples in fatherhood and marriage are much more valuable.

It all started when I moved my seat in class because the people I was sitting next to before were boring. Hannah will always be my roommate, my confidant, and the friend that made college worth it.

He graduated high school a year after Chris, but for how often they talk and joke you'd think THEY were getting married. River's love of his wife, Abby, is an inspiration.

Hailey may not be a sister, but she is still a built in best friend. From begging our parents for a sleepover after family Christmas, to riding the stuffed whale down the stairs. There are countless stories full of so many memories. Forever thankful for you, cuzzy.
