It was the summer of 2023 when our story began—one that would grow from a spark in a hospital hallway to a lifetime of love.

We first met at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital on Cameron’s very first day as a nurse extern. Lauren was working as a float pool nurse, confidently moving between units like the pro she is. The moment we locked eyes, there was a connection—one of those quiet, powerful moments that feels like something more. But like all good love stories, nerves got the best of us, and we didn’t speak—at least not right away.

Luckily, fate gave us another chance. At a float pool gathering not long after, we finally worked up the courage to talk. Numbers were exchanged, conversations flowed easily, and the connection we felt from that first glance only grew stronger.

That summer was filled with long talks, laughs, and late-night adventures. When Cameron returned to school to finish his nursing degree, we made long distance work, visiting each other every chance we got. Lauren became a regular in the bleachers, cheering Cameron on as he pitched for his college baseball team, and we supported each other through the ups and downs of work, classes, and life.

After graduation, we were able to travel together while Cameron prepared for the nursing exam. Once he passed and officially became an ICU nurse—at the same hospital where it all began—we took the next step and moved in together in July 2024. This allowed our sweet pup Lexi to have a new home and our family to grow closer together.

We’ve made countless memories since then—traveling, laughing, growing—and in April 2025, Cameron asked Lauren to marry him. Without hesitation, she said yes (with happy tears, of course!).

Now we’re getting ready to celebrate the next chapter of our story, surrounded by the people who mean the most to us. We can’t wait to share this day—and our forever—with you.
