Our Wedding

Lauren's American, from a small&nbsp;town in Virginia. Josh is British, from a&nbsp;small&nbsp;town outside of Manchester, England.&nbsp;It was bound to happen, right?

Wrong. But thanks to a&nbsp;chance summer&nbsp;that saw&nbsp;Josh work abroad&nbsp;in&nbsp;America, well,&nbsp;at least they were on the same continent for a few months. Then a change of&nbsp;plans that&nbsp;sent&nbsp;Josh scrambling to find a new place to work&nbsp;the&nbsp;week before flying out&nbsp;saw him placed at&nbsp;a&nbsp;Virginian water park&nbsp;- the very&nbsp;same water park where Lauren spent five summers (and the better part of some years) working.



So from a summer spent in the chlorinated haze of&nbsp;Water Country, USA (a more American name, you can't find) and evenings spent drinking at Williamsburg's limited&nbsp;choice of &nbsp;late-open bars, a Facebook chat was formed that kept the two in touch during both of their last years at university - ah, millennials.&nbsp;



And when&nbsp;it came to post-graduation plans, both had the trifecta of all good&nbsp;love stories in place: plans for&nbsp;backpacking, three gloriously&nbsp;free summer months,&nbsp;and, luckily,&nbsp;no one else to travel with.&nbsp;



With&nbsp;flights&nbsp;booked and AirBnB's reserved, some called it inevitable. Some called it fate. Lauren and Josh called it&nbsp;"fat chance".



Turns out, the joke's on us, and the&nbsp;punchline's happening&nbsp;this May. We can't wait to see you there!&nbsp;

Details

Technically&nbsp;Lauren's sister-in-law as of 2017, it's hard to know what came first in their relationship: Becca becoming Lauren's sister, or Becca becoming Eric's wife. Hint: it wasn't the latter.&nbsp;

Becca Keefer

Josh's oldest&nbsp;brother and sometimes friend, they grew up practicing football together in the garden,&nbsp;watching football together in the&nbsp;lounge&nbsp;and&nbsp;playing football&nbsp;together on the PlayStation - you get the idea.

James Hodari

Having just celebrated this one's wedding to Lauren's oldest brother,&nbsp;this beautiful bride is the newest Keefer to date&nbsp;and&nbsp;top&nbsp;on&nbsp;the list of "why didn't Lauren get these girls as biological siblings from day 1?".&nbsp;

Samira Bahagry Keefer

Josh's best friend. Having gone to the same schools&nbsp;and university together - even&nbsp;living together for two of the three years&nbsp;-&nbsp;it's safe to say many&nbsp;people (parents included)&nbsp;were surprised when Josh found someone else to settle down with.

Jacob Inerfield

Josh's youngest brother, Zack is on&nbsp;track for&nbsp;a PhD in Artificial Intelligence. You can probably&nbsp;look&nbsp;out for him&nbsp;in the control room when robots take over the world, but on May 26, hopefully you'll just find him on the dance floor.&nbsp;

Days after meeting,&nbsp;it quickly became clear to both Josh and James&nbsp;that breaking up with either Lauren or Olivia&nbsp;meant risking the wrath of the other.&nbsp;Josh's brother's&nbsp;fiancée (and&nbsp;OG Hodari girlfriend), Olivia makes the third time a charm: aren't&nbsp;weddings really for the sisters anyway?

Lauren's best friend who's as&nbsp;equally up for a games night as she is for a casual mountain climb on the edge of Scotland, the&nbsp;lack of single brother to marry off was&nbsp;the only thing stopping Lauren from making this sibling gain official. But really, who&nbsp;needs legality anyway?

Jessica Verrall

Lauren's older brother and Josh's transatlantic alter-ego,&nbsp;Eric's&nbsp;always made Josh feel welcome&nbsp;in&nbsp;the family&nbsp;thanks to his&nbsp;incessant teasing about the British&nbsp;accent since day 1. Eric and Josh found common ground&nbsp;over football and being the quintessential middle children - bloody typical.&nbsp;

Eric Keefer

Lauren's&nbsp;oldest brother,&nbsp;Josh and Adam quickly bonded by discussing virtually any sport and&nbsp;winding Lauren up at every possible opportunity. They&nbsp;can often be&nbsp;caught watching either type of football together whenever they're in the same country (and fuming about them just the same).&nbsp;

Adrian Packer, Josh's&nbsp;roommate in America&nbsp;when Josh and Lauren first met. They spent an amazing summer pretending to lifeguard, drinking copious amounts and meeting Josh's future wife.
