Our Wedding

Peyton and Lauren met at a small bar in Kingsport the night before Thanksgiving in 2018. They had both just started physical therapy school in different cities and lost touch. Four years later they reconnected at the same bar, on the same night, and have been inseparable since. Peyton got down on one knee on the Pitt Street Bridge in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina on April 12, 2024.

Charleston is one of our favorite places to visit because of the large amount of activities to do, and all the delicious food to eat! Whether you are in downtown Charleston, or on one of the surrounding islands, we have listed some of our favorite restaurants and activities to do while you are in town! OUR FAVORITE RESTAURANTS:Mozzo's Deli in Mount Pleasant- this is Peyton's favorite deli for breakfast and even what he requested to eat on the morning of our wedding! Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant- this area has several restaurants that allow you to sit on the water for good food and drinks, and is a popular place for boats to come in and out of. You may even see a dolphin or two! The Obstinate Daughter on Sullivan's Island - they have the best pizza and pasta options and there is a gelato shop right under it for dessert! Coop on Sullivan's Island- if you like Frose, this is the place for you! You can pick up a bottle for a refreshing drink and then go sit or walk on the beach! Hometeam BBQ- there are several locations of these, but we recently tried it and had to bring home several bottles of their signature sauce! Hanks in Charleston- Hank's is a delicious staple that you can't go wrong with. The most delicious, crab soup, calamari, and fish options that we've had! There is never a shortage of shopping that you can do on King Street, as well as the markets around the downtown area. Charleston is also known for its history, and there are many sites that are must sees. You can do a historical bus tour, or if you are looking for more of a thrill, there are several ghost tours as well. HERE ARE A FEW OPTIONS:Hunley Marine exhibit - here you can learn about the first successful submarine Fort Sumter National Monument Charleston Museum A boat tour to Drayton Hall Don't forget about all of the walkable areas to see The Battery and Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. We hope you explore and love the city as much as we do!
