Lauren and Adam spent the better part of five years in Lake Norman frequenting the same stores, restaurants, and areas, but somehow never ran into each other. Until one day, it finally happened when we both swiped right on Facebook dating. I know what you're thinking to yourself.... Facebook has a dating section? Yep, it sure does and somehow, we had mutual friends on Facebook that prompted the algorithm to match us together. Adam, in his usual clever and sarcastic nature, dropped one of the best pick-up lines and started our conversation with "Your dogs will love me." I guess he must have noticed all the dog pictures that I, Lauren, had in my dating profile. In my profile, I asked for someone who would share my love of my two dogs (Adam always wanted dogs), my love of the lake (Adam owns way too many jet skis) and would tolerate my impulsive design ideas for home renovations and projects (Adam has yet to find a single home project he can’t master). After 3 years together, I can assure you that Adam is just that plus more. Fast forward to a few holidays later when our families got together for Thanksgiving dinner. All of the sudden Adam started to nervously shake – which was so unusual for someone who fearlessly jumps in front of race cars to change tires – and before I knew it he was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I have no idea why he was so nervous as he knew my answer would unequivocally be “yes”!&nbsp; Together, we've discovered that the very best adventures in life are the ones we create with each other, and we feel so grateful for our partnership in life. CEREMONY START TIMEThe ceremony will start promptly at 5:30 pm. We suggest arriving at least 30 minutes early as you will need ample time to park and make your way down to the Seely Pavilion for the ceremony. The Omni will provide a transportation shuttle to bring guests down to the ceremony site.

We are requesting a black-tie optional dress code for the wedding. Men should wear a tuxedo or suit with a tie and jacket.&nbsp;Women should wear floor length gowns or formal cocktail dresses. We request no jeans, shorts, sneakers or flip flops. The couple and their wedding party will be dressed in black tie so please dress to reflect this level of formality in your attire. The bridal party will be wearing dresses in the shade "French Blue" from Birdy Grey if you want to avoid that color.

Seely Pavilion A shuttle will be available to transport guests from the Omni Main Lobby to the Seely Pavilion for the ceremony. We recommend you arrive to the hotel no later than 4:30 to allow 30 minutes extra time to make your way down to the Seely Pavilion and lawn.
