Summer of 2022 was winding down in Atlanta, and September was in full swing. After a less-than-stellar season of dating, Lauren was aimlessly scrolling through Bumble. Just as she was about to delete the app, she came across Kenneth’s profile: 25, former college baseball player, he has a dog. What’s not to like? One right swipe later—and a quick reciprocation—the rest was history.

As fate would have it, they discovered they lived just one street apart. After a few days of witty banter, Kenneth asked for Lauren’s number and promised her “the best Mexican food in Atlanta.”

Kenneth later confessed to being a little intimidated on that first date. But after a basket of chips, a few margaritas, and nonstop laughter, he thought, “I really like her... and thank God, she’s not a Mets fan.” That four-hour first date turned into weekly dates, introductions to friends, and going to each others favorite food spots all over Atlanta.

After their fifth date, Lauren looked Kenneth straight in the eye and asked—without hesitation—if she was going to have a boyfriend soon. A few dates later, on October 4th, Kenneth cooked her dinner (the famous pepperoni pasta) and officially asked her to be his girlfriend.

Fast forward to November, and Lauren brought Kenneth home to New Jersey for a New York Rangers game. She showed him around Monmouth County, introduced him to friends and family, and took him to her favorite pizza spot in NYC. The Rangers won, and later that night—in the NJ Transit parking lot at Matawan-Aberdeen station—Kenneth told Lauren he loved her.

That April, they moved in together and started building a life with their two dogs, Enzo and Ranger. Since then, they’ve traveled to Charleston, Cancun, Topsail Beach, and bought their first townhouse in the suburbs of Atlanta in March of 2024.

On September 15th, two days after their two-year anniversary, Kenneth got down on one knee and asked Lauren to marry him.

Obviously, she said YES!
