We can’t wait to welcome all of you to Carmel for our wedding celebration! It’s known for its quaint cottages, world-class hotels, restaurants, and shops all within walking distance. But admittedly the pace is slower — even the sidewalks along Ocean Avenue are a bit uneven (ditch the heels or walk at your own risk, or better yet you can purchase a high heel permit at City Hall for $1 — not kidding!) The village is charming, and we really encourage you to explore all the nooks and crannies — many of the bricked passageways lead to hidden courtyards with tucked-away treasures. And if all that exploring leaves you thirsty, duck into one of Carmel’s 20+ wine-tasting rooms for a little pick-me-up.
Outside of Carmel, the options are also endless: kayaking in Monterey, Point Lobos hikes boasting unbelievable views, golf in Pebble Beach — too much to list here but we have come up with some of our favorites, as well as travel and hotel recommendations, below.
The Monterey Peninsula is a spectacular destination with so much to do and see but, in our humble opinion, Carmel is the heart and soul. Ocean Avenue rolls down to the sea, ending at Carmel Beach, a dog-friendly paradise that hugs the coast and stretches around and out to what locals call “The Point.” Whether it’s grabbing a cup of coffee for an early morning stroll or a glass of wine at sunset, romance is everywhere.
The perfect place to celebrate our love!
