The ceremony and reception are taking place on grass so please be careful when choosing which shoes to wear. Super pointy heels are discouraged. The dress code is semi-formal. Semi-formal is considered to be cocktail dresses for women and dark suits for men.

Yes! The ceremony will be uncovered (fingers crossed it doesn't rain!), but the area is fairly shaded. The reception will take place under a large tent.

Parking is limited at the venue, so we will have shuttles gathering guests at the Inn at Virginia Tech. If you are not staying at the Inn, you are still able to park in their lot to catch the shuttle. If you are staying at the Hyatt Hotel or the Residence Inn you will be right across the street from the shuttle pickup location. If shuttling does not work for you, please consider ubering to the venue. The first wave of shuttles will leave the Inn at 3:20 with the second wave leaving at 4:00. Please try to arrive to the Inn around 3:10 so that all guests are able to utilize shuttles. There is a lobby that you can wait in for the shuttles if the first wave is full. Refreshments will be provided at the venue while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

Due to limited space, only children that are listed on your invitation are invited to the wedding.

We unfortunately cannot accommodate additional guests. Due to limited capacity, we can only allow the people named on your invitation. When you RSVP on our wedding website and type in your name, you are able to RSVP for your entire household.

A hotel block is reserved at the Hyatt Hotel and the Residence Inn. We have a discount code for the Inn at Virginia Tech on the "Lodging" page. The Inn at Virginia Tech is where the shuttles will be picking guests up.

Yes! If you are arriving Saturday check in is at 3:00 and the first shuttle wave leaves at 3:20, so asking for an early check in is recommended. The hotel should be able to accommodate these requests.

There will not be a "formal" after party, but the bride and groom will be making their way downtown Blacksburg to their favorite places from college! Anyone is welcome to join the bride and groom on these post wedding festivities.
