San Ramon is a city in Contra Costa County, California, United States, located within the San Ramon Valley, and 34 miles (55 km) east of San Francisco (thanks Wikipedia). It is a part of the East Bay near the cities of Danville, Dublin, and Pleasanton. It's also where Lauren and Rocky (and Archie) live!

The closest airport is Oakland International Airport (OAK). San Jose Mineta International Airport (SJC) and San Francisco International Airport (SFO) are other options but are further away. If possible we do not recommend arriving or departing during rush hour as the traffic can be quite bad. Traffic heading from airports to the East Bay is at its worst between 4:00-7:00 p.m. Traffic heading from the East Bay to the airports is at its worst between 7:00-10:00 a.m.

We would recommend it, but it is possible to arrive in Dublin (the city just south of San Ramon) from the OAK and SFO airports via BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) blue line. The trip from OAK is about 30 minutes while the trip from SFO is very long at just over an hour. It can be a stressful ride if you have a lot of luggage, children with you, and/or travel during rush hour. Having a car or taking a rideshare would be the most convenient, especially for getting to your accommodations, the venue, and any other sites you'd like to see while here.

You are of course welcome to book elsewhere. We recommend looking in San Ramon, Danville, Dublin, or Pleasanton. Most three-star hotels in the area are at least $130/night. Keep in mind that many hotels charge extra for parking and breakfast. Reservations made through our room block include free parking and complimentary breakfast.
