We met completely by chance while he was on leave. Once we started talking and getting to know each other, it was like we had always been together. We realized very quickly that we wanted to spend the rest of our lives with each other. On a trip to New Jersey for Valentines Day we took a trip to New York. Hunter was acting a little strange because he was letting me (Lauren) walk on the side of the sidewalk where all the cars were. Usually Hunter makes me walk on the inside of the sidewalk so that he can "protect me". He was also keeping his left had inside his jacket pocket. We got to Central Park and started looking for the "Balto" statue. We walked around for about 30 minutes until we found it. We were looking at the statue and I turned towards Hunter and he was on his knee asking me to marry him.
