May 5th, 2023 - The Day It All Began

Salisbury Christian School, Lauren's place of work, was holding a night of worship with bands from local churches. Lauren helped lead SCS ensembles, and Micah led with a praise team from Crossroad Community Church. The Garcias, our mutual friends, had previously spoken to each of us separately about the other, hinting that we would make a good pair. When we met May 5th, we happened to agree with them! The following summer was filled with intentional friendship, getting to know one another and discerning if a relationship was the Lord's plan for us.

August 12th, 2023 - The Day It Became Official

We were so excited to spend the full day together after summer travels had kept us from seeing one another. We traveled to Lewes Beach, DE to catch the sunrise, enjoyed donuts at Fractured Prune, then spent the remainder of the day adventuring. Taking inventory of what our friendship had blossomed into, Micah officially asked Lauren to be his girlfriend.

For the next ten months, we did life side by side. We shared all our favorite things, like volleyball, music, and time with our wonderful families!

June 9th, 2024 - The Day He Got On One Knee

Micah planned every aspect of the day to celebrate Lauren's belated birthday with a trip to Virginia. We stopped at Cracker Barrel for a good 'ole country style breakfast. Then, we made our way to Old Rag Mountain in Shenandoah National Park...
