Drive up Lookout Mountain, taking in the beautiful views (and homes!) - this address will take you to a small parking lot with a short walk (~.5 mile) to this view.
If you want to get outside but are strapped for time, I highly recommend this!
This is a 5-mile hike roundtrip on Signal Mountain. The hike starts from Rainbow Lake Trailhead, the trail winds down to a dam, across a suspension bridge, and up rocky terrain to get to the overlook pictured. This is one of our favorite hikes in Chattanooga!
Rent paddle boards or kayaks from Rock Creek and transport them by car to Coolidge Park (I've fit them in my small SUV!). It's a fun way to spend a few hours and take in the views of downtown.
There's spots all over the city to rent bikes! The riverwalk takes you along the river and connects various parts of Chattanooga - The Art Bluff District to Downtown to St.Elmo, etc.
This location takes you to the Blue Goose Hollow Trailhead. It's close to downtown with ample free parking.
Chattanooga is a big rock climbing city. For those of us less experienced, this gym is the next best thing. There's also a whole section dedicated to kids!
They have a few staples like Madewell, Anthropologie, Lululemon, & JCrew. Fun fact: Lauren works on the 5th floor of this building!
Our favorite brewery in town! Super kid friendly and offers amazing food and local beer.
Other good breweries: Cherry Street and Naked River. American draft is worth a mention, it's a tap-room in a train car!
The walking bridge is a Chattanooga staple. It connects downtown to the North shore (Frazier Ave) which has more shops and restaurants.
The Tennessee Aquarium has been rated best in the nation for guest satisfaction! It's baby Landon approved :)
The best rooftop view in Chattanooga - the patio overlooks the Tennessee River and walking bridge with Lookout Mountain in the distance. It's beautiful!
One of the cutest areas downtown - can access the walking bridge, Aquarium, Hunter Art Museum and more from this spot! Located in the Bluff View Art District.

If you want BBQ - this is the spot! Very kid friendly with playhouses on the patio. Located on the NorthShore.
