Lauren and Vicky met while they were both working for the Health Department. Vicky had already been working there for a couple of years when Lauren came on board out of college. Vicky had helped Lauren learn the ropes in a few areas of her job and and they quickly formed a strong friendship. Their pass times included apple picking, eating an abundance of apple cider donuts, and going out for drinks with pizza and nachos at a local bar. They were both in relationships when they had met so their bond had grown into best friends over the course of about a year. Those relationships they had with others had fizzled out and they discovered that they had a love for each other unmatched by anything experienced in previous times. They balanced each other out, anything one lacked the other had and contributed. Areas of a relationship that had always been challenging for them in the past had all of a sudden been effortless, and even the hard times were more bearable with the other around. It was all uphill from there, they had quickly moved into their first home and got engaged the same day.
