Boy meets girl... girl meets boy, and they live happily ever after. Ha Ha yeah, we know that only happens in movies. So how did we meet??? We first met each other when our two congregations merged together. I (Lauren) became friends with his mom and aunt; Patrick was not a thought at the time (smile). After some time, a friendship was then formed. Together with mutual friends, we enjoyed going to the beach, going out in service, preaching in unassigned territory, "Summer Sunday's" at the beach, bowling, going to the beach, watching movies, taking walks, going to the beach, star gazing, game nights, and did we mention going to the beach. After years of being friends, this friendship then took a turn...for the better that is! We went from being friends, to being each other's best friend, to being engaged, and now looking forward to being husband and wife. And there you have it, the short but cute version of Our Love Story. Oh, wait we didn't tell you about the proposal. It was a cold winter night. Patrick asked me to pencil him into my schedule, and of course I said yes. He then took me back to the restaurant where we had our first "real date." After dinner, he drove to Long Beach and asked to take a walk on the boardwalk. At first I was confused. I thought to myself, "why are we at the beach in the cold"; but I went along with it because I love the beach. We took about ten steps, looked up at the full moon, and the next thing I knew... he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I'm sure you know what my answer was... Ok now that is the end of Our Love Story or maybe I should say just the beginning...
