Q + A

NOTICE: East County Road N is closed between Highway 59 and North Milton Rd. This is a road that connects to Serns Road. The police are pulling over non-local traffic for going through the closed road. Google Maps has been updated to reflect this change, but Apple Maps has not. Serns Road is open at the other end, so this will not affect access to the wedding. Please let Matthew or Lauren know if you have any questions!

Are plus ones or children allowed?

Each invitation will state the invited guests. If you are receiving a plus one, your invitation will say YOUR NAME + GUEST. We are limiting children in attendance, but if your children are invited to the event, your invitation will state their names along with yours.

What's the schedule?

Ceremony | Arrive by 3:45pm at the latest for a prompt 4:00pm start // Cocktail Hour | 4:30pm // Entrance and Speeches | 6:00pm // Dinner | 6:30pm // Party Time! | 8:00pm-11:30pm

Are all wedding day events at the same address?

Yes! All wedding day events will be at 9220 N. Serns Rd., Milton, WI, 53563. This is Lauren's parent's house, so please be mindful that this is family property and not a traditional wedding venue. Once you arrive, parking attendants will help you find a spot and signage/staff will direct you to right place!

What should I wear?

The vibe is spring garden party, so think light and bright colors and flowy fabrics. The event is semi-formal, so please no jeans, shorts, or t-shirts! A suit jacket is not required, but encouraged.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Weather permitting (if everyone can say a little prayer for good weather, that would be amazing!) the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. These events will be in grass, so please think about your footwear -- ladies may consider flat or block-heel shoes to avoid getting stuck in stilletos! Dinner and dancing will be indoors.

What are the closest airports?

Madison (MSN) is the closest airport -- 25 minute drive/Uber to the area. Milwaukee (MKE) is the next closest -- a 1 hour and 15 minute drive. Chicago (ORD or MDW) are the largest airports in the area -- a 2 hour drive or there are bus and train options that can get you closer to Milton.

What town should I stay in?

Some towns and cities that are in close proximity to our venue are: Edgerton, Milton, Janesville, Fort Atkinson, Stoughton, and Madison. Anything surrounding Lake Koshkonong is a good option as well. If you are wanting to stay in bigger city, Milwaukee is about an hour and fifteen minute drive and Chicago is about two hours away by bus or car.

Where can I park day of?

We will have parking on site and parking attendants to assist you in finding a good spot. Please let Matthew or Lauren know if you have any mobility issues and need to park close to the venue.

How can I get to and from your venue?

The only way to get to our venue is by car. There are limited rideshare and taxi options in the area, so please plan ahead to ensure you arrive to and leave safely from our event! If you need assistance with navigating this or are interested in coordinating shared rides, please contact Matthew or Lauren.

Have you reserved a hotel block?

We have not. There are hotel options in the towns and cities mentioned in an earlier Q&A, and if you need guidance choosing one, please let us know. AirBnb or VRBO are also great options in this area, especially around Lake Koshkonong. Traditional bed and breakfasts in neighboring towns are another great way to stay and support local businesses. We recommend booking accommodation as soon as possible as our wedding is over a holiday weekend.

What are the food options throughout the day?

During cocktail hour we will be serving local cheeses and charcuterie while you enjoy our signature cocktail. Dinner will be a barbeque buffet. Invitations will include an option to select a vegetarian meal for dinner. We will also be serving a late night snack to keep you fueled for dancing! Please let us know if you have additional dietary resctrictions or allergies.

What are the drink options throughout the day?

Before the ceremony and during cocktail hour, we will have a coffee bar with many hot and iced options for all different tastes. There will also be coffee available into the evening. Cocktail hour will feature our signature drink in addition to an open bar and a variety of soft drinks. During dinner and dancing, the bar will remain open and we highly encourage tipping our amazing bartenders! And most importantly, water will always be close at hand to keep you hydrated.
