We initially met when I (Lauren) taught the Thursday section of Will's freshman orientation class. We also got to know each other through time spent time together as brother and sister wings at Taylor.

We started dating on January 5th, 2019, after Will's mustered the courage to ask me on a date via text message. I thought it was a group event, but clearly, Will had other intentions.

The baseball pick-a-date to Ft. Wayne was another favorite memory from our time together at TU.

Will visited South Dakota for the first time and rode Gillburt.

We travelled the the Black Hills and the Badlands with my brother and his friend.

The rollerskating pick-a-date was a highlight of our first year of dating.

We visited the art museum in Indianapolis with Jordan and Larisa.

Will and I played a lot of Solitaire and Battleship through FaceTime while I was back home in South Dakota during the pandemic quarantine.

We spent a lot of time going on walks exploring while I was living in downtown Indianapolis.

Courtney Masters took our photos in 2 feet of snow.

We made a goal to take more pictures in 2021, since we have few good photos together.

I was SURE he was going to propose this day - then he didn't.

Will proposed at the Waveland Conservation Club after convincing me that we were just going to run a quick errand. I was shocked to say the least.

Our friends celebrated us when we returned to campus.

Being together with all the people we love made the celebration even sweeter. We are so looking forward to being with everyone in one space on New Year's Eve.
