Our Wedding

Although they grew up in the same area and attended the same high school, there was, to put it lightly, minimal interaction between Lauren and Brad during their teenage years. While Lauren could be found all over the soccer field, field hockey field or basketball court, Brad could be found acting on stage in the musicals or rocking out on his drum set as a member of Relegate and Johnny Action Figure. They ran with two completely opposite crowds but toward the end of Lauren's junior year and Brad's senior year they had a few of the same classes and began to take an interest in each other, thus, realizing their potential. Despite the fact that Brad was friends with Lauren's older brother, Chris, for a number of years before Lauren came into the picture, Brad asking Lauren to the prom sealed the deal. Looking back over the last decade (yes, decade!) they have taken their small-town love to the City of Brotherly Love and have added a furry best friend to the mix, their rescue dog, Cooper.

How We Met

For months Brad meticulously planned every aspect of the engagement night; from receiving permission from Lauren's dad to the weekend's course of events. His anxiousness grew as February 13, 2014 approached, and he let Lauren know that an Uber car was going to pick her up at their apartment at 5:30, because they were celebrating Valentine's Day a little early. His flawless plan of taking Lauren to the 32nd floor of Two Liberty Place in Center City Philadelphia where they would overlook the city and he would pop the question (while Lauren's brother, Chris, would be filming the entire thing!), followed by a reserved area with champagne and flowers so Lauren could call the most important people in her life, followed by a 10-course dinner at the BEST restaurant in Philadelphia, Vetri (Lauren is a total foodie) seemed to be falling seamlessly into place. Then, a massive snow storm hit Philadelphia and the plan went out the door. Both Lauren and Brad's offices were closed on Thursday, February 13th, so they spent the entire day together in their apartment, with Lauren thinking Brad was acting a little odd. Since activities were limited that day Lauren decided to take a nap, only to be woken up by Cooper (their dog) jumping up on the bed. As Lauren tried to move him, she realized there was an envelope attached to his collar. The envelope read 'Mom' and before Lauren could open it Brad asked her to come to the family room. Upon walking out of the bedroom Lauren noticed that their favorite song was playing (Green Eyes by Coldplay) candles were lit and there were two champagne glasses and champagne. Lauren opened the envelope attached to Cooper's collar and it read, 'Will You Marry Dad?' At that moment Brad recited the most adorable words and asked Lauren to marry him. Lauren absolutely agreed and a flood of emotions overtook them both. They were still able to make it to Vetri and enjoy an incredible 10-course dinner and upon arriving home, Lauren's brother, Chris and sister-in-law, Jamey, decorated their apartment. After experiencing a whirlwind day and many emotions, Brad let Lauren know that she did not have to go to work the next day and had a massage scheduled, followed by a weekend with their families. Despite a snowstorm completely changing the course of the day, Lauren and Brad (and Cooper!) could not be happier!

Twenty-two years of friendship has created incredible memories for Meghan and Lauren. Only separated by a hill in Lauren's backyard for most of their lives, the two have been through everything together. As they've always said to each other - I love you like a sister. Meghan and her husband, Chris, (and their two cats, Crabcake and Wolfie!) live and work outside of Boston, MA.

Carson and Brad have been best friends since ninth grade when they started playing music together in their band, Relegate.  From working at Friendly's during their teenage years to living miles apart, they have been the constant in each other's lives. Carson currently resides in Reading, PA with his girlfriend, Jenny.  

Carson Perry

Brad met Eilliot at Temple University when they decided to pledge the same fraternity, Alpha Tau Omega.  They've shared many nights together working as valets throughout college and rooting for the Temple Owls at the Liacouras Center, all while having the best time.  Elliot recently moved to Lake Tahoe where he will be enjoying the West Coast lifestyle.

On the first day of kindergarten five-year-old Morgan asked five-year-old Lauren, 'Want to be my friend?' From that day on they were instant friends and have been inseparable since. From slumber parties in Morgan's basement to being bridesmaids in each other's weddings, they share an incredible bond. Morgan will soon don a new last name, as she is tying the knot in August to her longtime love, John.

Chris is Lauren's older brother, but was friends with Brad long before Lauren entered Brad's life. Brad and Chris have shared a passion for music, both as members of Johnny Action Figure, and have toured most of the eastern coast performing and playing music together. With similar senses of humor and a true friendship, Brad is excited to have Chris officially become his brother. 

Chris Sheehan

Friends since sixth grade, the number of laughs Lauren and Alicia have shared are immeasurable. Alicia is an amazing girl with a huge heart and has been an incredible friend throughout many, many years. She and her husband, Tyson, live in Conshohocken, PA so their close proximity to Lauren and Brad in Philadelphia makes for fun and frequent visits.

Jamey first entered Lauren's life when Lauren was fourteen as the girlfriend of her older brother, Chris. Fast forward to the current day and Jamey and Lauren are not just sister-in-laws, but close friends. Living only one block from each other in Philadelphia, Lauren and Jamey love experiencing all the city has to offer together.

Jamey Sheehan

Connor is Lauren's younger brother, who first met Brad when he was five years old when Brad spent his first night at the Sheehan household for a post-concert sleepover with Chris.  Connor woke Brad up bright and early the next morning and they have been buddies ever since.  Connor is currently in high school and is already a better golfer than Brad.

Connor Sheehan

Corbin is Brad's younger brother.  Whether it was patrolling the aisles of their parent's grocery store in the early days or exploring the historic sites of Galen Hall, they have always looked out for each other.  Corbin works as a mechanic and lives in Wernersville, PA.

Registry

The wedding party will be staying at the Cork Factory Hotel in Lancaster. We currently have a block of rooms reserved for guests, which can be obtained by mentioning the 'Sheehan/Rittle Wedding Block' when calling the Cork Factory Hotel. A shuttle will be provided to and from the Cork Factory Hotel to the wedding site so our guests can enjoy the celebration! Shuttle service will begin at 3:45 from the hotel lobby.

We also have a block of rooms at the Courtyard Marriott in Lancaster. To reserve a room please call the front desk and mention the 'Sheehan-Rittle Wedding' to receive the wedding block rate. Kindly reserve your room by September 15th. A shuttle will be provided to and from the Courtyard Marriott to the wedding site so our guests can enjoy the celebration! Shuttle service will begin at 3:45 from the hotel lobby.
