Lauren and Brett met each other in Junior High and became good friends. They became even closer freshman year of High School as they had a lot of classes together. During sophomore year, their friend groups connected and hung out a lot, so they were able to spend more time together. When turnabout came around sophomore year, Lauren decided to make the first move and ask Brett to the dance. After that, they officially started dating on March 12, 2010!

After senior year of High School wrapped up, Lauren and Brett started their long distance relationship when they went away to college. While there were long stretches, they made the most of the holidays & weekend visits. After four years of long distance dating, they both were excited to be back home and close to each other again!

After graduation, Lauren and Brett made up for lost time by traveling with each other and friends! After a few years working full time, they got their first apartment together. It was exciting finally being able to be with each other all the time. Lots of memories were made at our first place!

After a few years of living with each other, they were ready to take the next step and buy their first home in Arlington Heights. After months of Lauren begging for a dog since they were in a house, they finally got Benny! Benny is an energetic, big personality miniature golden and made them officially a "family".

Lauren and Brett took a vacation to Jamaica in April 2022 for some much needed R&R. Brett planned a thoughtful proposal on the cliff at the resort followed by a private dinner for two! It was an unforgettable trip and many memories were made. Lauren and Brett are so excited to now take the next step and officially become "The Walter's" on June 23, 2023!
