Ali is Lauren's sister and very&nbsp;best friend. &nbsp;She lives just down the street from us. &nbsp;We all spend lots of time (along with our dogs Linny and Chip) together&nbsp;hiking, watching Sounders games, and sitting on the couch.

Brian and Travis have been friends for almost 10 years. &nbsp;Brian now lives in California, but makes regular trips to Seattle to camp, hike and celebrate Halloween (which happens to be around Brian's birthday and an annual tradition).

We recommend looking for an airbnb. &nbsp;There are so many great neighbors in Seattle to explore, and everything is easily accessible via bus, ride share (ReachNow or Car2Go), and Uber or Lyft. &nbsp;Neighbors to consider staying in: Ballard, Fremont, Queen Anne, Belltown or West Seattle (that's where we live!).

If you don't do anything else (besides attend our wedding), visit the Smith Tower! &nbsp;This is our favorite building in the city. &nbsp;Although not as high as the Space Needle, the views are gorgeous, the museum is fascinating, the crowds are less, and the whole experience is so much more fun.The visit includes a short museum detailing a short period of history of Seattle, an old fashioned elevator ride (complete with an operator), and a stop at a speak-easy type bar (with all local liquors).In fact, if you decide to make the trip, let us know. &nbsp;We will join!

There are a lot of great museums in Seattle, and Chihuly is one of our favorites. &nbsp;It's located under the Space Needle and features local and&nbsp;famous glass-blowing artist, Dale Chihuly.

Lauren's favorite thing about Seattle is the water. &nbsp;Argosy has a variety of tour offerings, but the Locks is highly recommended. &nbsp;The tour brings you through Hiram M. Chittenden (Ballard) Locks, which are located directly across from Lauren's very first apartment in&nbsp;Seattle. &nbsp;In addition, the locks was the home of the cruise ship she worked on in 2007!&nbsp;

These locks keep Lake Washington and Lake Union about 20 feet (6.1 m) above sea level, hold the saltwater out of the lakes, and provide the public with the opportunity to view the massive salmon runs that pass over the fish ladders.

The Museum of Pop Culture (previously Experience the Music Project) is a unique museum&nbsp;located in an even more unique building. &nbsp;The museum includes tributes to Seattle music legends&nbsp;Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix &nbsp;and hands-on experiences playing instruments and creating your own band.

If you have a car, and want to spend some time outside of the city, consider taking a hike. &nbsp;Rattlesnake Ledge is a local favorite, its just 48 miles from Seattle. &nbsp;The hike is 4 miles round trip with a 1160 foot elevation gain, and amazing views!

Another favorite hike! &nbsp;Little Si is 36 miles from the city. &nbsp;The hike is 4.7 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 1300 feet. &nbsp;And of course has amazing views! &nbsp;This hike requires a Discover&nbsp;parking pass, you purchase a one day pass at&nbsp;<a href="http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov/">http://www.discoverpass.wa.gov</a>
