Our story begins in the summer of 2016 when Lauren and her friends needed males to form a sand volleyball team. Despite having offers from teams more competitive and talented, Greg accepted the offer and joined the "Good Gracious That Bump Is Bodacious" volleyball club.

However, it wasn't until that fall that we really began to consider the idea of potentially dating. After a night of volleyball and several postgame drinks, Greg tricked Lauren into getting her number and ultimately asked her out on a date the following Tuesday.

It was that night and subsequent dates in the following weeks that we began to learn more about each other, our families, friends, and our faith.

The momentum of these dates began to build over months, and then years. Then last August, Greg got permission from his future in-laws and began to plot where we would get engaged.

On October 19th, we took the long way through Forest Park "to meet some friends" at the Boathouse. It just so happened that we conveniently walked by where one of our first dates took place. Greg stopped Lauren and got down on a knee and asked him to be his forever.

We are looking forward to celebrating just down the road from where this all began with everyone that helped get us here!
