We actually met at Charity United Methodist Preschool. While we have not been together since preschool, we did grow up in the same circles. We reconnected after we both moved home after graduating college. Hunter was working for his family's farm and Lauren was picking up her family's weekly CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) box. We still cannot remember the conversation that was had between us but, regardless, something must have intrigued Hunter because he sent me a FaceBook message that night asking me out on a date.
Hunter proposed at our family house in Waterford, Maine. (Fun Fact: This is also where Mr. and Mrs. Sullivan got engaged.) We did a hike earlier in the day and when we got back, we had planned just to go down to the lake and let the dogs swim. Hunter wrapped the engagement ring up in a 101 Dalmatians towel to hide it while we walked down to the lake and proposed on the dock. It was an easy yes!
