Andrew and Lauren met at McMaster University in the University Concert Band! They were in the concert band executive together and became friends. After graduating from McMaster, they reconnected and started dating in 2020.

Despite a pandemic, their romance blossomed and they went on their first date at the Royal Botanical Gardens.

Many Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Democracy* on Locke dinner, and video-game playing dates later, Andrew proposed to Lauren at the very same gardens where they had their first date!
