What was your first date?
CJ planned a romantic afternoon date including a visit to a local Restaurant called the Real and Rosemary, a visit to a nearby bookshop “The Little Professor”, a walk through a nearby park, and a stop at Hero’s Donuts.
How did CJ propose?
Lauren and CJ travelled to a mystical land (otherwise known as the Georgia Renaissance Faire) with some cherished friends. For the event, CJ replicated the Mastersword from the Legend of Zelda video games. In it, he built in a ring box with a beautiful and special ring, tailored perfectly to Lauren’s personality.
At the faire, he planned a scavenger hunt with prompts all related and leading to the engagement ring. After a few hours of fun, Lauren met CJ at a beautiful bridge where he proposed with the Mastersword that Lauren had been carrying all day.
What is their favorite date?
Lauren: My favorite date was our first year anniversary. We went to Sipsy Wilderness and hammock camped in 20 degree weather. There were beautiful waterfalls and streams. It was the first time we talked about our future together.
CJ: My favorite date was when we climbed Smith Mountain Tower in Lauren’s hometown. It was very personal and beautiful. I felt honored that she shared that piece of her childhood with me.
What is their favorite memory with each other?
CJ: My favorite memories include our times out under the stars. One was when we laid outside on her dad’s pier at the lake and looked out at the constellations. The other is when we laid in the road outside of my house and held hands as we watched the Lunar Eclipse.
Lauren: My favorite memories are when we would go out to the Springville Park and pack a picnic lunch. We watched the dogs run by and the kids playing. And we played with Luna all afternoon. I just knew I wanted that love for the rest of my life.
