Q + A

How do I get to the venue?

The venue is about 20 minutes east of Port Angeles, on Twilight Beach Rd. If flying into SeaTac International Airport, the venue is a little over two hours west and north. To drive from SeaTac, you can drive southwest through Tacoma, then north through Gig Harbor and Bremerton, then west by northwest once you hit Port Gamble.

.

Alternatively, you can drive north from the airport through Seattle and board the ferry (which allows cars) to Bainbridge Island. From there, you can drive north by northwest through Poulsbo, then north through Port Gamble, where you would pick up Route 104 as above. This version would take about 30 minutes longer but the ferry views of Rainier are unmatched.

.

A third option would be to fly into Victoria, B.C., and take the Black Ball ferry line from Victoria to Port Angeles. The ferry terminal (on Belleville St., not the Swartz Bay ferry terminal) in Victoria is about a 40 minute drive south of the airport but does have public transit as an option, which would take about 1hr15m. From the ferry terminal, the boat ride to Port Angeles is about 90 minutes. With this option, be sure to bring your passport as you would be flying into Canada and crossing the border back into the U.S. via the ferry.

What's the dress code?

The dress code for the event is semi-formal. With a woodsy wedding, we encourage green hues and florals. Be wary with shoes for the event - the ceremony and reception will be outside on packed dirt and grass, so stilettos are not a great option unless you want to get stuck in the ground all evening. Chunky heels, sandals, or any outdoorsy footwear should be fine.

What will the weather be like?

Even though we'll be celebrating in June, the temperature will likely be a bit chillier than you might expect. The average temp for this area on June 7th is in the 50s to mid-60s historically. Be sure to bring a jacket! Historical weather data indicates it should not rain on the day-of, but the Pacific Northwest can be unpredictable so a light rain is not out of the question. Waterproof mascara is encouraged (for rain and/or crying at the beauty of the ceremony).

What time should I plan to arrive?

The ceremony is set to begin at 5:30 but we'll plan to have cocktails available starting around 5, so feel free to arrive a bit early to grab a drink before finding a seat.

Will there be a cash bar or open bar?

Open bar 😎

Will Clover be there?

Clover will be in attendance to act as the ring (Bear)er. Please don't forget to give her a scritch and a "good girl!" when you see her. If she barks (as she's prone to doing), show her your hands and she should STFU.
