After hearing plenty of horrible Lauren dating stories at work, Weston finally chimed in that he had a cousin he would like to set me up with and that when I was ready to meet my husband to let him know. Now Weston is a great guy but I didn't exactly see him as a magic matchmaker, so I agreed to go on what I thought would be a one time date with his cousin Chris. I met Chris for a drink at Earl Giles and I was pleasantly surprised to see a very handsome, charming, and tall man greet me. Drinks turned into dinner and after several hours of talking and laughing I knew he was unlike any guy I had ever met.

Chris walked me to my car that night and I remember hoping that I would hear from him again soon.....literally less than one minute later my phone rang and it was Chris. I thought maybe I forgot something or could it be he had such a great time he just wanted to talk to me some more.....instead it turned out I had forgotten I had put my parking brake on and because my music was up loud, I didn't hear the horrible screeching I was making as I backed up. Chris was simply calling to ask if I had hit someone and if I/they were okay? Now I like to remind him that he had clear warning signs of my blonde moments from the get go and that he still signed up all of it because he talked to me that night the whole drive home and every night after that!

Chris has taken up golf and my love for travel. I have learned everything there is to know about road glides vs street glides, all the trucks in the Ford line up and the dates that hunting seasons are within. Chris's adorable golden retriever Pal is excited to have someone new to trick into thinking she hasn't been fed yet and she enjoys the extra walks/belly rubs.

Weston truly called it when he said I would be meeting my husband and if that wasn't direct enough my two best friends also both said "that's definitely your husband" as soon as Chris walked away after meeting him for the first time. We both realize God has always had a plan and that timelines work out in the most unimaginable way!

Chris surprised me on a hike in Sedona, AZ this past January when he got down on one very shakey knee and asked me to be his wife. It was truly the easiest yes of my life and I was so glad he didn't pick too difficult of a hike as I blacked out the whole way back down out of excitement! We have been enjoying all of life's new adventures together and we can't wait to start this next chapter of our lives. We have both always loved New Years Eve and can't imagine a better time or party to ring in the New Year as the newest Larsen's!!
