There are no shortage of vineyards in the North Georgia mountains, but Roo Vineyards holds a special place in our hearts. Roo hands down has the best views and seating areas of the local vineyards! There is a 21+ requirement at this vineyard.
Amicalola Falls has a beautiful waterfall where you can hike to the top and look out over the Blue Ridge mountains. It is a beautiful area about 30 minutes away if you want to get a hike in! Lauren saw a black bear last time she was there!
Bell Mountain is a bit of a drive further north - but SO worth it! Overlooking lake Hiawassee, you can drive to the top of Bell Mountain and see for miles (a few final steps get you to the best lookout spot).
BJ Reese orchards has the best fried pies (hand pies)! It is not a far drive and they have a cider tasting barn where you can relax and sip some local cider - we highly recommend!
One of the many orchards in North Georgia! R & A is the closest to the venue and has amazing apples - just in time for peak apple season too!
Mountain Valley Farms specializes in grass fed beef products. They have a petting zoo complete with goats (and babies if you are lucky), bunnies, and cows. The best part of mountain Valley Farms is by far their ice cream - the brown sugar maple bacon is AMAZING, but you cannot go wrong with any of their flavors.
