Our story began way back in middle school — two kids who had no idea that one day they would find their forever in each other. Everyone said young love wouldn’t last, and for a while life did what life does — it took us down different paths. But somehow, fate had other plans. When our paths crossed again years later, it felt like no time had passed at all. The connection was still there, only stronger and deeper than before.

After nine months of dating, we both knew what we had was something special. Lauren packed up a U-Haul, left everything familiar behind, and moved to Houston to be with Taylor — no looking back, no doubts, just love leading the way.

Since then, we’ve built a life we adore together — filled with laughter, adventure, and our three fur babies: Clyde, Rainbow, and Raven. Taylor is happiest near the water with a fishing pole in hand, and Lauren is happiest behind her camera, capturing the beauty in the world around her. Together, we are each other’s biggest fans, best friends, and safe place.

After four amazing years together, we’re so excited to begin our next chapter as husband and wife.

Even more special, we’ll be getting married in the same place where we got engaged — the beautiful Texas Hill Country near New Braunfels, in the heart of historic Gruene.

This place holds a special meaning in our hearts. On the Fourth of July last year, Taylor proposed here — a moment we will never forget. Gruene has also been part of Lauren’s story long before that. While attending Texas State University, she worked at the beloved The Gristmill River Restaurant & Bar while putting herself through college, creating memories that made the hill country feel like home.

Gruene is the kind of town where people float the river, listen to live music, slow down, and soak in the beauty of the Texas Hill Country. It’s full of charm, history, and the kind of simple magic that makes life feel a little sweeter.

We can’t imagine a more meaningful place to say “I do,” and one day we hope to bring our future children here too — to float the river, walk the same streets, and share the place that became such a special part of our story.
