What is the dress code?
Please wear cocktail attire (examples in article below).
California is known for having the notoriously warm "Santa Ana winds" in October, but we'd recommend bringing a jacket just in case it's cool!
Please reserve white for the bride.
What is the address and time?
Our wedding ceremony and dinner reception will be held at
El Adobe De Capistrano
(31891 Camino Capistrano, San Juan Capistrano 92675)
Ceremony begins at 5p. Please arrive between 4:30-4:45p.
The venue is listed as a Mexican restaurant - is that correct?
Yes! El Adobe is recognized as a California historical landmark, and is an important part of San Juan Capistrano history. It was constructed as a home in 1797, and after 1812, served as the town's Juzgado (court and jails). Over the years, it’s been transformed into a post office, store, stage depot, and now serves as a restaurant/wedding venue. The Juzgado's jail cell currently serves as the restaurant's wine cellar. It was also a favorite spot of President Richard Nixon in the 1970s. Our ceremony and reception will take place behind the restaurant in their courtyard/event space :)
Is this a dry wedding?
Nope! Just please drink responsibly.
Are kids allowed?
Yes! If their names are listed on your invitation/RSVP, feel free to bring your little ones :)
Can I bring a plus one?
As much as we would love to have an even bigger party, we only have room for everyone listed on your invitation/RSVP. Thank you for understanding!
Where should I park?
El Adobe has their own parking lot behind the restaurant.
If that lot is full, please park in one of the many public spots nearby.
