Will the whole day be at Aswarby Rectory?
Yes! Both the wedding ceremony and reception will take place at Aswarby Rectory.
What time should we arrive?
Day guests can arrive from 12:15pm, you will be seated by 12:45pm and the ceremony will start at 1:00pm. Evening guests - please arrive at 6:30pm.
What time does the party end?
The party will end and the bar will close at midnight. We kindly ask that all guests depart by 12:30am.
What is the dress code?
Black Tie. Tartan trews and kilts encouraged. Ladies, we invite you to wear a formal dress (think Spring-Summer formal garden party vibes) - whatever makes you feel your best!
Some of our venue is on grass/gravel so please choose appropriate footwear.
Are children invited?
We have decided to keep our wedding as an adults only event. Thank you for understanding.
Can I bring a guest?
Due to limited space, we can only accommodate guests who are formally invited. Our invitations will outline those invited to our wedding and we ask that only those named are in attendance.
Can I take photos?
Yes, absolutely! The ceremony itself will be unplugged as we want you all to be present in the moment with us (so please no phones/photos while we say our "I do's").
Please feel free to take as many photos as you want after the ceremony.
We are excited to see all your photos!
Does Aswarby Rectory have onsite parking?
Yes, there is parking onsite but this is limited so please do share or use taxis where possible. All cars left overnight need to be collected by 10:00am the day after the wedding.
Will there be pre-arranged transport?
No, as guests will be leaving at different times throughout the evening. Please pre-book taxis for the end of night journey back home/to hotels. Aswarby Rectory is located in a small rural village, therefore the local taxi firms are pre-book only and will not be passing by at late hours. Please see the information page for further details.
Gifts?
Many of you will have travelled a long way to share our wedding with us so your presence at our wedding is enough of a gift! Should you wish to give a celebratory present, we’d greatly appreciate a contribution towards our honeymoon and married life.
When should we RSVP by?
Please RSVP through our website by no later than 1st March 2025, to confirm your attendance and any dietary requirements.
Unfortunately we cannot make exceptions and will have to mark you as a 'no' if we don't hear from you. We need to provide our venue and caterers with final numbers in a timely manner - we hope you understand.
