Horton and Laurie met in August 2009 at Providence College on Horton's “move-in” day. As Martin Luther King Jr scholarship recipients, they attended orientation together and discovered&nbsp;they were the same major;&nbsp;Psychology.&nbsp;After learning that&nbsp;she had already taken the courses Horton planned to take that semester,&nbsp;Laurie&nbsp;agreed to help him with his studies. Just like that their friendship&nbsp;began. From the beginning they shared class notes, advice, and became well acquainted. Every Friday, Horton would stop by Meagher Hall and review psychology class notes where Laurie and her roommates would hold their weekly movie afternoons. Horton, however would sit in the dark at the corner desk and do his homework. Yes, homework even on a Friday! After months of studying together they learned more about each other and became closer friends. Providence College academics was the stem of their relationship but the two realized&nbsp;they had many more things in common, their love of God, family, art, and of course - Soca music! In early 2010 they decided to take their relationship to the next step.&nbsp;

After&nbsp;graduating Providence College, Laurie attended graduate school in Grenada, West Indies and Horton became a middle school teacher in Boston, Massachusetts. God took both Laurie and Horton on separate paths and led them back together years later. Upon reconnecting - their love grew fonder and stronger.











On December 30, 2018 Horton asked for Laurie’s hand in marriage in Providence, Rhode Island where it all began! The couple have both prayed and held strong to their foundation of friendship and family. Horton and Laurie look forward to having close friends and family celebrate their love on Sunday April 24, 2022&nbsp;in Middletown, Rhode Island.

We ask&nbsp;all confirmed guests&nbsp;attending our wedding in-person to take a COVID-19 test 1 - 3&nbsp;days prior to the event. At home tests, PCR, and Rapid tests are all acceptable.&nbsp;Once you have received your results, please upload a copy&nbsp;to foreversearsresults@gmail.com by Saturday&nbsp;April 23, 2022 at 10pm.&nbsp;All guests must submit testing results regardless of vaccination status. 





















We understand that the situation above may make your attendance to&nbsp;our in-person&nbsp;wedding&nbsp;impossible. The safety of our guests&nbsp; is of the&nbsp;upmost importance to us.&nbsp;Please note all guests who cannot attend may view online the day of the celebration.
