If you asked either of us how we thought we would meet our significant other, neither of us would have said 'on a dating app'. Fast forward to 2021 and a Hinge date later, little did we know that our story was already being written.

After a week of getting to know you texts, we decided to schedule our first date. Our first date was at Queen City Radio, in downtown Cincinnati. The date did not start out very well....Lauryn showed up 30 minutes late and Austin figured he was being stood up. Nonetheless, Lauryn eventually showed up and the conversation was seamless.

By November of 2021, we already knew what our future held for us. We were so sure that we even went to try on engagement rings. We both agreed that whenever the proposal happened, we did not want it to be a big production - it would just be the two of us.

March 10, 2023: Let's set the scene - a typical Friday afternoon both of us are working from home. It wasn't out of the norm for Austin to ask what we were doing that evening. We made plans to head downtown for dinner and drinks. We were also celebrating our 2 year anniversary that weekend. Jacket on and ready to walk out the door, Austin was standing in the living room with the box. In typical Austin and Lauryn style, we celebrated at Bakersfield (our fave spot).
