Logan Bertholomey - Velle's Best man
Logan and I first met in 2016 when I started working at UPS. Like most of my friendships, it didn’t start off on the smoothest path—he wasn’t exactly my biggest fan at first. But once we realized we had something in common (being from the great, yet undeniably raggedy, state of Ohio), everything changed.
From that moment on, we clicked. Logan has been by my side through it all, from California and back, proving time and again what it means to be a true friend. He’s more than just my best man—he’s my brother.
Joaquin Santa Cruz - Velle's Best man
I’ve known of Joaquin since the early days of Kingdom Courts (iykyk), but our real friendship kicked off after playing in a national volleyball tournament together in 2017. From that moment, I knew we’d be two peas in a pod—because if nothing else, we are the epitome of “one drink friends.”Joaquin has been my road dawg through it all—coaching side by side, tearing through crab leg boils, and making memories at Lola’s. Whether it's on the court, on the road, or over a drink (or five), he's always been down for the ride. Couldn’t imagine this day without him standing by my side.
Drake Irion - Matt's Best Man
Drake and I met in 1985 — not by chance, but because life made us brothers. Being just shy of Irish twins, I wasn’t sure at first if I wanted a brother… but I’m sure glad I got one. As my only sibling, we’ve shared just about everything: from childhood memories and inside jokes to classic brotherly fights (some epic, some ridiculous).
Through it all, he’s been one of my closest companions and someone I’ve always been able to count on. I’m honored to have him stand beside me as my best man on this special day.
LaShawn Jordan - MOM
As a true mama’s boy, there was no way I could walk into this next chapter of life without my mother right by my side. She’s not just my mom—she’s my best friend, my A1 since day one, my biggest cheerleader, and the person who’s shaped so much of who I am. It means everything to have her play such a special role on this day, as she gives her oldest boy away to marry the love of his life. This moment wouldn’t be complete without her.
Brett and Sherry Irion - Matt's parents
My parents have been together for over 40 years, building a life filled with love, laughter, and balance. My dad is quiet and witty, with a subtle sense of humor that always lands at the right moment. My mom is vibrant and full of energy, bringing warmth and laughter wherever she goes. Their personalities may be different, but together, they complement each other perfectly.
