Our story truly begins with our Father in heaven. In 2021, we were both on paths forged by God that reflected the spiritual renewal of our minds. Jesus led us out of dark places, and ushered us into his kingdom. These paths converged at Fellowship Church in College Station, TX, during August of 2021.

Although we would grow to be very fond of each other, our first interaction was very much the opposite of that. Victor and his friend arrived late for Sunday service and went to sit with their small group. Coincidentally, Layce was a first-time visitor who was recommended the same group. As they walked to some open seats, Victor noticed Layce and immediately tried too hard not be clumsy or to do something silly. Everything was going smoothly until Victor tripped over his own feet and shoulder-checked Layce's head. It wasn't the greatest first impression.

Our small group went to lunch afterwards, which is where we officially met. Victor and Layce teased one another over their desired pizza toppings. We soon grew as friends over the next month while growing in our faith and our Fellowship community.

One late night conversation after hanging with friends showed just how much we were interested in each other. Victor decided to ask Layce out, with a little nudge from her of course ;). The next year and a half was full of laughing fits, competitiveness, learning, and love. We discovered each other's personal worlds, families, and passion for Jesus. After attaining our degrees, we knew we wanted to marry each other.

After a two-week engagement, we got eloped! We've now spent over a year with each other as a married couple and it has been a huge blessing to share our lives with each other! We are literally growing and learning about life together, and that's super exciting. We are now thrilled to celebrate our matrimony with our family and friends!
