Our paths first crossed thanks to some matchmaking friends who set us up on a blind date, convinced we’d be a great pair. That morning at Hometown Diner felt like the beginning of something truly special. From the start, we both had a sense that this wedding day was destined to happen. Over time, our bond grew stronger as we uncovered a shared love for golf, running, biking, and a deep affection for animals—all tied together by how naturally our personalities fit.

After almost a year, we took the leap and moved into a tiny wartime house—a place so small that Kev could barely fit, let alone share it with our four pets: Lucy, Sacks, Jeter, and Sunny. It may have been cramped, but it was full of love and laughter.

Together, we’ve explored Canada with our tent trailer and traveled to incredible places like Palm Springs, Scotland, and Greece.

In the summer of 2023, we decided it was time for more space (especially for Kev!) and bought our dream home by the river in Saskatoon. It checked all the boxes and set the stage for the next chapter of our lives.

In February 2024, while enjoying one of our favourite activities—running—Kev proposed, and Layla happily said yes. A few months later, we were excited to learn that our family would be expanding with a new arrival in January 2025.

Our paths crossed at the perfect time and every step since, both literally and figuratively, has led us to this day. We’re so excited to celebrate with all of you!
