What time should I arrive at the wedding?
We recommend arriving at least 20–30 minutes before the ceremony starts to allow time for parking and finding your seat. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3pm, so please plan accordingly!
Is there parking available near the wedding venue?
Yes, the venue has a parking lot located behind the building. If the lot fills up, there’s also street parking available nearby. There may also be a shuttle service available. Details to follow.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding will take place indoors at The Cheney Place, so you can relax and enjoy the day without any weather worries!
What is the dress code?
We’d love for our guests to wear semi-formal attire, so think suits and cocktail-length or ankle-length dresses rather than tuxedos or floor-length gowns. We kindly ask that you choose darker colors and avoid white or light colors that might appear white in pictures. But most importantly, we want you to feel comfortable and ready to enjoy the day!
Where can I stay?
We’ve listed some hotel recommendations under the “Travel” section on our wedding website. You’re also welcome to explore other hotel options or Airbnbs.
For a safe and convenient stay, we recommend looking in one of the following neighborhoods: East Grand Rapids, Eastown, Cascade, Fulton Heights/Michigan Oaks, Heritage Hill, Creston, Alger Heights, or Ottawa Hills.
Do you have a hotel room block for guests?
Yes! We have a hotel room block available at the Country Inn & Suites by Radisson Grand Rapids East listed at the top of the “Travel” section on our wedding website.
To book your room, you can either call the hotel at (616) 942-7000 and mention that you're booking for the Stenzinger wedding, or use the booking link provided https://www.choicehotels.com/reservations/groups/HX69B0
Please make sure to book before Wednesday, June 18th to secure the discounted rate! Let us know if you have any questions.
Am I allowed to bring a plus one?
We’re excited to celebrate with our close friends and family, so if your invitation includes a named guest, we’d love for them to join us. We kindly ask that guests don’t bring additional plus ones. If you feel we may have missed someone, please reach out—we’d be happy to chat and make sure everyone important to you (and us!) is included!
Can I bring my children?
Yes! We would love to have your children celebrate with us. Please make sure to RSVP for them when you submit your own RSVP. They should be listed under your household when you complete the RSVP process. If you have any questions or if your children are not listed, feel free to reach out!
Am I allowed to take photos at the wedding?
We’re having an unplugged ceremony to keep the focus on the moment, so we ask that all phones and cameras stay tucked away until after we say ‘I do.’ Once the cocktail hour and reception begin, feel free to snap photos and take videos to capture the celebration with us!
Where can I share the photos I take at the cocktail hour and reception?
After the wedding, we’ll provide a Google Drive link on our wedding website where you can upload your pictures and also view the ones taken by other guests. We’d love to see our big day from your perspective, too!
What date should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by June 8th so we can provide our final headcount to our vendors. We appreciate your prompt response and can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Will there be an open bar?
No, we have decided not to serve unlimited alcohol at our wedding. However, we will have unlimited non-alcoholic drinks for our guests and two kegs of cocktails available. Once those are gone, no additional alcohol will be served.
We kindly ask that you do not bring your own alcohol, as we want our guests to be present in the moment with us and enjoy the celebration sober. Thank you for understanding and honoring our wishes!
Where will wedding updates be posted?
Updates will be posted on our wedding website, so be sure to check there for the latest information. For major updates, we’ll also send out text message notifications, so you’re always in the loop!
