Lea and Brandon first matched on a dating app called Hinge in February 2020. Their first date was March 13, 2020, right when the world started shutting down from the COVID-19 pandemic. Lea flew home to Florida to spend time with her family, and their long distance romance blossomed. They FaceTimed everyday for hours, getting to know one another. Eventually, Brandon asked Lea to return to Chicago so they could be together. Lea returned to the Midwest in May 2020.

With Lea back in Chicago, Brandon and Lea were finally able to physically date each other and meet each other's friends and families. They grew even closer!

In May 2021, Lea and Brandon moved in together! Long gone were the days of driving over an hour to see each other.

In October 2021, Lea and Brandon adopted Harry to round out their little family of three.

On Lea's birthday, Brandon popped the question in their home, followed by a party with close friends and family!
