We've known each other practically all our life. From mere childhood friends to study buddies to boyfriend/girlfriend, and now soon husband and wife!

[Leah] I've always remembered having a crush on Gale my entire childhood and through high school. He was cute, kind, athletic, and well-liked. We had a friendship like no other, and it was something that I treasured. Things started to change after I went to high school, to my dismay. We kept in touch over college, but conversation was on-and-off. We were both so busy with school and friends. Then, in our second year, we unexpectedly bumped into each other at a mutual friend's birthday party. I can't thank God enough for that birthday party. That set us off. We came back in touch and started talking. We studied and did homework together, we discussed the future, we did everything together. It seemed so perfect and I couldn't have asked for anything better.

[Gale] I've known Leah for most of my life. She was the kind of cool, fun, pretty, popular, nice girl that everyone liked. Including me. I found her someone I could talk to and be heard. This relationship went on for a few years until she went to high school. We began to drift away--Leah focusing on school and friends and me focusing on baseball. We entered into our college years and met new people, but things didn't seem to click so well as we did, and I was constantly remembering Leah. I reached out to her through text and we started to talk, but sparsely. Then, in our second year of college, we found each other at a friend's birthday party. Things happened so fast after that and we started hanging out almost every night, doing everything together. That was when I realized that I wanted more.

[Leah] Gale asked me out on a date on the start of our third year of college. We started dating after that, and two years later, we've never looked back!

[Gale] I asked Leah out on a date in our third year. It was one of the best decisions I've ever made, and I am so thankful the Lord's hand on us.
