Our Wedding

We first met through a mutual friend during the final months of college, soaking up everything Iowa City had to offer before graduation. Tom moved back to Chicago and I followed a few months later. Despite living in the same city, life took us in different directions. Every now and then we’d randomly bump into each other, or Tom would stop by Stretch for a drink before a Cubs game—those quick moments felt like friendly reminders of a connection that never fully disappeared. Years passed and a lot happened, and once again the same friend who originally introduced us reconnected us. Maybe it was the years of growing up, or the fact that we already knew each other, but everything felt easy. There was a familiarity between us that made it all fall into place quickly. What started as a simple catch-up turned into something real, meaningful, and lasting. Now we’re excited to begin the next chapter—one built on timing, reconnection, and the kind of love that knew when it was ready and was worth waiting for.
