Thank You, God! 

Leah came across Eric on the dating app, Hinge. She had unknowingly passed by him before because his original photo was one of him eating a hotdog which Leah didn't know how to handle; (photo available in the "Photos" section of this website). Eventually, however, Eric updated his profile photo to one of him running the NYC marathon which Leah found pretty impressive -- so, Leah dropped a like. Eric, enthralled by Leah's humor in her profile, matched with her. He messaged a few texts back and forth, and mentioned that he was going to Hawaii to run another marathon and would message again to set up a date when he returned to Nashville. Leah, thinking she was nicely being brushed off, did not believe that she'd hear back from him. But, much to her delight, he did indeed message her when he returned, and they went to Jeni's ice cream as their first date on December 19, 2023. The next year was full of fun dates ranging in cooking classes, dance lessons, concerts, and hiking. A particularly special God-ordained realization Eric and Leah have had about their relationship is discovering how the Lord faithfully worked in each of their lives years before meeting each other. Before Leah moved to Nashville, she debated whether or not she should move away from her home of loved ones, friends, and a great job but strongly felt the Lord leading her elsewhere. One night, she had a vivid dream of Jesus asking if she trusted Him and showed her a US map of her “next location” with a red pushpin marking her destination, but the location was unknown. Around the same time, Eric embraced the bachelor life and began traveling the world with friends and family. To document his travels, he purchased a hanging canvas of a U.S. map which came with red pushpins where he designated the places he had traveled. Leah realized that the Lord had led her to Eric when she saw the red pushpins in her dream all over the map in Eric's condo. Eric was oblivious, but he fell in love with her so the rest is history. GOD IS SO GOOD! We are each other's answered prayers of many years, and we are so thankful the Lord has blessed us with the joy of each other. We cannot wait to celebrate with you!
