It all started at youth group at Redemption Hill. Leah had seen Gabe around before, but never really paid much attention to what he was up to. Gabe, on the other hand, definitely noticed Leah and thought she was pretty cute.

One night in April 2021, Leah missed youth group because she was quarantined. That’s when Gabe decided to message her on Instagram and ask where she was. From there, the two started talking a lot. Their conversations flowed easily and often, and even when life got busy and things quieted down for a bit, they found their way back to each other.

Over the summer, they ran into each other a few different times, and one thing led to another August 6th, 2021, they were officially dating. 

Since then, Leah and Gabe have shared so many milestones together high school graduations, Gabe’s time at basic training (letters sent back and forth for months), the joys and losses of family life, college, and everything in between. Through it all, they’ve grown together, in love, in faith, and in life.

Then, on May 10th, 2025, in beautiful Florida, Gabe got down on one knee and asked Leah to marry him.

Now, they’re so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife, best friends, hunting partners, and forever teammates,all grounded in their shared love for Jesus.
