Our story starts back in the summer of 2013, Leah was preparing to begin her freshman year at NDSU and Alex his junior year NDSU. Leah's aunt was the one who introduced the two, with the intentions for car pooling trips from Fargo to the Twin Cities. Throughout the next few years we were best friends. We did everything together. He even introduced Leah to his friends as the girl he was going to marry, long before he knew he loved her. After enough time of just being friends, we decided to make things official on March 20, 2017.

Leah fell in love with his tender heart, and his ability to make anything positive. Alex tells me, "I fell in love with your sense of humor, your ability to withstand any of my antics or mischief, and of course, your beauty." Our friendship was fast and it quickly built a strong foundation. We found support, comfort, humor, happiness within each other. We have a home together and I have turned Alex into a cat dad to our two fur babies, Fynn (orange cat) and Zoey (multi-colored cat).

On July 18, we met up with some friends and their children for a beach day. As we were nearing our goodbyes and taking pictures, Alex took advantage of the opportunity to get down on one knee and ask me to spend forever with him. Of course I said, "Yes!"

Here we are 8 years later and planning our lives together.
