Our lives met one another once upon a time the old fashioned way, at the ballpark... of course. How else would we meet our better half when all we did was spend our free time around softball? We met at the 2021 Boobie Bash tournament at Softball City. Our first interaction was a poor joke from Ian and then him proceeding to offer her a Busch Light at 9am ~ Leah of course, accepted. Cookies are for closers and Ian did not receive a cookie that day because he left without getting Leah's phone number. We got our second chance thanks to a very popular dating app.. Brookie was the one to swipe right (Thanks Brookie)! Brooke also was the one to invite Ian on our first date to Land of Illusion in October of 2021. Neither one of us knew that a haunted house would quell the spell of being single. In December, Ian declared Leah his girlfriend and the impending holiday season drew them closer than they ever could have imagined.

That Christmas, Ian began meeting Leah's family, and through them he learned to play euchre. Nobody would have thought that such a simple, midwestern card game would spark so many memories with our friends and family ~ euchre became a weekly occurrence. As time moved forward and our love for each other grew, we moved into our first home together on Covedale Avenue. This house holds so many memories from small holiday gatherings to an extensive and fun night of beer Olympics (HBD Brookie)! Life took us back to Leah's house on North Bend Road and moving during the holidays is no easy feat, but we took it in stride and our love only grew. Ian has also adopted a cute little demon in the shape of a cat, and Winnie stole his heart quick!

Difficult times happen and we navigated through those together, without ever losing sight of the love we share for each other. Remember, life has a way of testing your mettle, but its great for character development! With a lot of bumps in the road, the love still grows where the rosemary grows on the North Bend Road.

In January of 2024, Ian bent the knee and asked for her hand, heart and soul in marriage, and can you believe she said yes!! Softball brought us together and gave them lifelong friendships along the way. We are onto the next chapter starting in May 2025!!
