Leah and Ethan met on May 19, 2024. Leah was Ethan's staff lead at OFY, where they were working, and she greeted him with a bow. They quickly became friends.

After two weeks, Ethan asked Leah on a date. She told her friends, "I'll probably friend-zone him afterward." However, after their group date to Fall Creek Falls, Leah did not friend-zone Ethan and agreed to go on a second date with him—followed by a date every week after that.

On July 19, after some thought and discussions about what would happen when OFY ended, Ethan asked Leah to be his girlfriend at the Tetons, and she said yes. When OFY ended, Leah returned to Provo, and Ethan went back to Rexburg. However, it didn't take long for Leah to move to Rexburg. A month and a half later, on Friday, December 13, Ethan proposed to Leah at OFY, the place where they first met.
