Leah and Tyler met in the spring semester of 2022 at a Baptist Campus Ministry broomball event. Little did Leah know that Tyler thought she was cute and later told best man Joel that he thought she was so cool. The two became friends and always kept in touch thanks to a mutual friend group. In August of 2024 Leah and bridesmaid Emily were on their weekly “hot girl walk” when Emily stated she wanted to find a girlfriend for Tyler because he was such an amazing guy. Leah jokingly stated that she was single and Emily’s matchmaking mind went to work. Emily and her now husband, Max (one of Tyler’s groomsmen!) worked behind the scenes hyping Tyler and Leah up to one another. Emily had convinced the pair to be dance partners at a BCM square dance in mid September and the rest was history. That night after the square dance Leah went to Tyler’s house for a group movie night and the next day Tyler texted Leah saying that he hoped she had fun. The two have never quit talking since. Leah and Tyler had their first date a week and a half after that night and were officially dating two weeks after that. Leah and Tyler got engaged one week shy of their one year anniversary. The two are incredibly excited to begin their married life together and see where the Lord leads their family.
