Leah and Kelly’s story is rooted in Golden Lake, a place woven into their lives from childhood. Leah, who spent her summers at her family’s lakeside property on Twin Maple Lane, grew up with a deep love for water and nature, while Kelly, born and raised on McMillan Road, filled his days fishing, being outdoors and playing hockey across the Ottawa Valley.

Introduced in their teens, they stayed connected over the years, but it wasn’t until 2019, when Kelly returned from his hockey season early, that they grew closer. After a memorable first summer together, they moved to Germany for two years, and later England for one, building a three year life abroad with their beloved Siberian Husky, Kyah and discovering their love for travel. Leah and Kelly treasure the unforgettable chapter of their lives spent in Europe and The United Kingdom. Exploring country after country, they immersed themselves in the beauty of new cultures, creating cherished memories and forming deep bonds with friends who became like family. Their journey as expats is a story of adventure, connection, and love—one they will forever hold close to their hearts.

In 2023, Kelly retired from hockey, and they returned to Canada, where he proposed on the shores of Golden Lake. Now living in Renfrew, they still call Golden Lake a version of home—a place that has always been and will always be the heart of their story.

Leah’s love for physical activity and the outdoors, paired with her dedication to her career, perfectly complements Kelly’s role in the family business and his passion for spending time on the lake, in the woods, or at the rink. When it’s time to unwind, they cherish quality moments with friends and family—whether on the water, the golf course, spending time with their beloved Kyah, or boarding a plane to their next exciting adventure.
